Happy New Year!

Did you do any resolutions this year? I rarely do "formal" resolutions, but this year I was even avoiding "informal" ones! I have a few things I want to do business-wise for the upcoming year.

I want to find an art show to apply for; wanting to try something different than the craft show arena. Several people have suggested this and I have taken the advice to heart. Now to find the right show. I don't want to invest a lot of money into a tent set-up for an outdoor show. I will try to find an indoor one.

I want to join a local art group. I investigated a nearby one and it happens to meet on a regular board meeting night for the Library. I am committed to the library so that one is out for me. I'll have to look for another one.

I invested in a rolling cart, jewelry trays and liners to properly display my jewelry at shows and when I take it places like bowling. I've been using divided plastic containers and laying my jewelry on the counter top. Doesn't really promote the image I am going for. The set I bought (and haven't yet received!) has stackable trays with velvet liners. I hope I can place my jewelry on the trays and keep it in place when it's in the rolling cart. Then I can whip it out to display!

I've been investigating new designs for earrings using my lampwork beads. I keep using a bead and one or two crystals in a coordinating color and I'm bored with it! I have some ideas that I just need to get into reality.

I plan on selling loose beads on etsy. So far all I have listed is jewelry. I like making jewelry, but I'm wondering if the market would be better for beads themselves. Something to look into! I'm also considering selling on ebay. Just a test-run to see how it goes.

For not having resolutions, I definitely have goals! Something to look forward to in this new year. How about you? Any goals you want to share?
