Etsy Shop Now Open for Business!

I finally listed an item on Etsy. I will be listing more, but read somewhere that you should list something new daily so you get more notice.

The address is www.klineartstudio.etsy.com and you should visit! lol

I made some new beads a few nights ago. I really wanted to torch something last night but it was so hot and humid! I cut apart some glass rods I got at Nature's Expression in Wasco and decided it was entirely to nasty to stay outside. I got some cool colors to play with so I can't wait to light up again!

I made some more purple and green beads. I love love love this color combination.

I made a heart with two shades of purple.

I did this purple goddess--but you can hardly see it! I think it's the transparent glass. It really is great in person.

Goddesses

These beads get their own entry!

I was inspired to make the goddess beads in two ways. One was the show and tell threads on the Lampwork Etc. every day. Those goddess beads are lovely! The second way was my friend Sue who had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. She was commenting that now she has incredibly nice boobs.

I made this red one first. For some reason these haven't been all that hard. The glass flows into the womanly shape rather easily.

This blue one was a little more embarrassing to make. Jim wanted one for him. Saturday night I fired up the torch. Made some beads to loosen up. Grabbed the blue rods and went to work. The neighbor man came by to borrow the ball pump...followed by his grandsons. Like all people who fisrt see the torch, they were curious. I explained what I was doing. And they stayed to watch for awhile. Do you know how nerve-wracking it is to add nipples while the entire neighborhood watches? I felt a little perverted! lol

I think of the red one as "perky Hothead"--great porn name, huh?

New Beads

I've been neglecting the poor blog! But I've been so busy with making beads, going to baseball games, and driving the turbo mini van car pool to summer school and camp...enough excuses.

I've been on a fishing frenzy. No, I'm not baiting my own hook and tossing them back. I'm making fish beads. I took an advanced bead making class at United Art Glass and a fish bead was demoed. The one on the bottom is the first one I made.

Here are some more...

Some hearts. The one on the top right was turned into a pendant by my friend Natalie. It's hard to see, but there's a white bead at the bottom.hearts-062107-web.jpg

I made some wine glass charms for my friend's birthday. I made the beads and am working on something to use for a bottle stopper. I keep messing them up!

I had a 70s flashback last week when I used some of my black and white beads to make a macrame bracelet. This might be my favorite piece of jewelry I've made so far. It took about an hour and was pretty easy. Now I need more cord to make more!

I've been playing with purple and green glass.
